Bringing People Together by Putting Students First

Kyoto City is historic, culture-filled, home to many colleges and international enterprises, as well as a melting-pot and destination for people from all over the world. It has been over 18 years since Kyoto Minsai Japanese Language School was founded here and we aim to provide a Japanese education that allows our students to be immersed in Japanese society and culture through the study of the language. Our goal is to connect people by overcoming nationality and this is how we named our school “Minsai” (“min” meaning “people” and “sai” meaning “beside”) instead of “Kokusai” (“koku” meaning “country” and “kokusai” meaning “international”) and it is with this value in mind that we move forward with our students every day. We currently host over 300 students from over 30 different countries.

At Kyoto Minsai Japanese Language School, we always think of our student first and value keeping “at home” atmosphere. Our staff and teachers care about our students’ thoughts and feelings and aim to do a better job than any other school in this regard so why not start studying Japanese language and culture with us today? We’re looking forward to meeting you!

It's been a year and a half since I came to Japan. My life as a student here so far has been very fun and I think it's going to keep getting better. Japanese was difficult at first but if I keep on studying I know I will be able to get it. The teachers at Kyoto Minsai Japanese Language School very interesting and are very good at what they do. Thanks to them I was able to pass the N1 level of the JLPT. Thank you all so much!

The teachers at Minsai always put their all into what they do. Not only do they teach Japanese but also provide all the support necessary for students to advance into a Japanese school or into a career after graduation.
