Sendagaya Japanese College Group was founded in 1975 and has been offering courses to international students, business people, and future Japanese language educators for ever since. Since our start, we have trained Japanese language instructors in order to effectively teach the Japanese language to foreign people. At the same time, we have taken advantage of our experience accumulated through the training of professional by developing and publishing our own educational materials for language learners and teachers with the cooperation of outside institutions. More than 20,000 students and over 10,000 Japanese language teachers who have graduated from our programs are active around the world. In particular, we are unmatched in the successful admission of our students into graduate school programs. The number of international students attending our group schools over the year has climbed to over 2,500 and approximately 1,000 of our graduates advance into highly acclaimed colleges, universities, and vocational schools.

I arrived at Sendagaya Japanese Institute, with absolutely zero knowledge and zero class hours of Japanese. Having spent only one month studying Japanese, I could use full sentences to have short conversations with the locals. The teaching style was quick and concise, we occasionally had small tests to check our progress and the classes were interactive. Most importantly, the teachers were encouraging and kind, and since we were put into classes with people on similar levels, I was not afraid of making mistakes.
Moreover, I met lots of international people who became my good friends and we had a joyful time there. I would like to say thank you to all my teachers because they are great at teaching and they took good care of me. If you're not sure about going abroad, I recommend you go and see it yourself and you'll know that it's worth going!

In Russia, we go to school for 11 years, so you need one more year of studying to enter university in Japan. You can solve this problem if you study at Sendagaya, because their University Preparatory Course, which is recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan, counts as a twelfth school year. The Japanese language is not easy, but Sendagaya’s teachers are professionals. If you are absent, they will help you understand the material any time, even if it is after or before lessons. They explain grammar and vocabulary using examples which you can use in real life. Also, they will help you find a part-time job or apply for university as if they were your parents.

Sendagaya is a school for those who want more than to just learn Japanese. It is a crossing to further studies in Japan. I have just got a message that I have passed the entrance examination for the most famous game centered school in Japan, HAL. In this school, you will have to give it all you got, especially if you are from a country that doesn't use kanji (Chinese characters). The teachers are extremely genial and a lot of them are really good at teaching. Most students are from China, Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia. What you learn in this school is Japanese for further studies in Japan and if you want to be able to talk with Japanese people without sounding like an academic you will have to prepare yourself to talk with the locals on your free time. I have managed to get to the point where I can read Japanese books with a little bit of hard work and talk somewhat fluently. If you are smart and self-disciplined this could be the school for you.
